Window Treatments

I have been working on getting window treatments up in my bedrooms for a long time. I picked up 2 cornices at ReTail in October for $15 each. They were awesome, but not right for my rooms.
I covered them each with muslin (with hot glue). Then, the one for my study, I covered with light yellow fabric (actually a round table cloth that does not fit my table).
I folded in the fabric and glued it in place.
Then I screwed in little brackets to hold a rod for a curtain. I planned to hang white shears from the treatments to keep my rooms (with no overhead lighting) bright but to allow for a little more privacy.
I decorated the yellow cornice with white fabric cut out in stripes and cut out in my monogram. I freehanded it, can't you tell? ;)
Ta da!
The second one, I simply covered with a curtain I got at the goodwill. The verdict is still out on whether this is too "baby's room" for a 22 year old.
